Aspire: Relationships and Leadership

As many of you are aware, I love podcasts—both as a listener and as a speaker. Recently, I had the pleasure of chatting with Joshua Stamper on Aspire: The Leadership Development Podcast. In addition to hosting and producing this inspiring podcast, Joshua also serves as an assistant principal in Texas.

In this episode, we dive into the importance of relationships in all aspects of education. (No surprise coming from me!) We also dig into the challenges of leadership and how to stay true to your core principles as well as how to empower those whom you serve in order to create a culture of innovation and growth. We also discuss the current state of assessments and the work that is still needed to ensure they match best and next practices in teaching and learning. Of course, it wouldn't be a conversation with me without delving into the power of the workshop model across languages. We wrap up the chat by acknowledging the thread that binds us all as educators around the world: doing what's best for kids.

I hope that you will give it a listen below.

What did you think? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
